FC Barcelona are interested in signing Man United loanee Mason Greenwood
Manchester United could soon be parting ways with club outcast Mason Greenwood. The 22-year-old was set to the side after he was hit with charges of rape and assault. The charges have since been dropped.
Seeing as they could not bring Greenwood back to Old Trafford, the club instead chose to send him out on loan. What an opportunity this has proven to be for the English Winger. He has been turning heads with his performances in Europe.
FC Barcelona are now looking to bring the player in, according to a report by The Sun. It has also been reported that the club is ready to offer Greenwood Lionel Messi’s legendary jersey number.
Manchester United have already rejected a £40m offer from Getafe. Although he has been outcasted the team isn’t prepared to offload him for such an offer. FC Barcelona who are also preparing to make a similar offer might have to reconsider.
Greenwood is only 22 years old and has immense potential. This is further proven by the fact that the Catalan club is ready to offer him Messi’s number. We don’t believe any offer beneath at least £80m will not be entertained by the club.
The best-case scenario would be if the Red Devils end up bringing the player back to Old Trafford. He has spent enough time away and can be a real asset to the struggling squad. A decision will most likely be made next month.

The talents of Mason Greenwood will provide a great boost to Erik Ten Hag’s failing attacking line.
However, whether he will ever wear the Manchester red again will be decided by the new INEOS decision-makers. Hopefully, they do not make any decisions that the club will come to regret in the future.
