Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot, who is at Juventus, is expected to make a decision regarding his future soon, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

The French national’s current contract with the Old Lady is set to expire at the end of June. As a result, the midfielder will be available on a free transfer. However, the Bianconeri are keen to keep a hold of him.

To that end, the Serie A giants have discussed extending the 28-year-old’s stay. However, as per Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, the Old Trafford side have also tabled a proposal to sign him.

Therefore, Juventus are expected to find it difficult to keep a hold of Rabiot in light of interest from the Premier League. However, the Allianz Stadium side will try to convince the midfielder for as long as possible.

The France international joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2019 after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. In the 2022/23 campaign, the 28-year-old was one of the few positives at the Old Lady.

Rabiot also shone for Les Bleus in the 2022 World Cup. However, Didier Deschamps’ team were unable to retain the title after being beaten by Argentina on penalties in the final.

United signed Christian Eriksen as a free agent last summer. The 31-year-old surprised many last season with his influence in the team and importance in Erik ten Hag’s plans.

However, the Danish national seemingly lacks the engine to run up and down the pitch. The playmaker often looked tired in the second half of matches in the previous campaign.

Therefore, we could evidently do with an upgrade for the former Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder in the starting lineup. Rabiot looks to be in his prime at the moment. But will Juventus be able to entice the French national to snub a move to the Theatre of Dreams? Only time will tell.
