Eintracht Frankfurt intend to keep Randal Kolo Muani amidst Manchester United interest

Markus Krosche, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt. has revealed that they intend to keep Randal Kolo Muani amidst interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils are keeping tabs on the France international at the moment. He is seen as an alternative to bolster the forward line in case the Old Trafford side are unable to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane.

However, speaking to Sport1 (h/t Manchester Evening News), Krosche has sent a warning to clubs interested in the 24-year-old. The Bundesliga outfit have no intention of parting ways with the striker in the upcoming transfer window.

“Basically, we have no intention of selling Randal Kolo Muani after only one year with us this summer. But the hype about him is understandable and completely fine. He deserves that after his great performances.

“We want to continue on this path with him and not necessarily sell him. Another season with us would certainly do him good.”

Kolo Muani signed for Frankfurt in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer. However, the French national has taken German football by storm, putting in some impressive displays for Olver Glasner’s team.

In the current campaign, the 24-year-old has made 35 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler. He has found the back of the net 16 times and has provided 14 assists.

The striker has also caught Didier Deschamps’ attention. He played a part for Les Belus in the 2022 World Cup and started in the two fixtures in the Euro 2024 qualifiers in the recent international break.

At the moment, United evidently lack depth up top. Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural strikers at Erik ten Hag’s disposal. The two have been underwhelming in the current campaign.

As a result, the Dutch manager has had to rely on Marcus Rashford to find the back of the net consistently. Apart from the 25-year-old, none of our other forwards has contributed considerably in the final third this season.

Therefore, we seemingly need to add more quality to our attack. Kolo Muani has showcased a keen eye for goal and impressive creativity for Frankfurt. However, it remains to be seen whether the Bundesliga outfit will sell him if the Red Devils make an approach.
