Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani on Manchester United radar due to Rasmus Hojlund price tag
Manchester United are set to turn their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt star Randal Kolo Muani due to the price tag set on Rasmus Hojlund, according to ESPN.
Atalanta want at least €70 million from the Red Devils to part ways with the Denmark international. While the 20-year-old is a key target for the Old Trafford side, they fear the Serie A outfit will not budge on their valuation.
As a result, United are ready to ‘step up’ their interest in Kolo Muani. Although the Red Devils are still going to test the waters by putting in a bid for Hojlund, a move for the French national is also being lined up.
The Old Trafford side have turned their attention to adding a new number nine to their ranks in the ongoing transfer window. To that end, the 24-year-old is one of the options on Erik ten Hag’s shortlist.
Eintracht signed Kolo Muani as a free agent last summer. Subsequently, the striker caught a lot of people’s attention with his displays in the previous campaign, scoring 23 goals and providing 17 assists in 46 appearances in all competitions for Die Adler.
The French national was also a part of Didier Deschamps’ team that reached the 2022 World Cup final. Against Argentina, the 24-year-old provided an assist as Les Bleus ended up losing on penalties.
When it comes to United, our attack evidently needs more reinforcements. Anthony Martial is the only natural number nine at Ten Hag’s disposal as things stand.
Hojlund is a decent talent. While he has showcased immense potential, the Danish national is not experienced enough and his numbers last season were not encouraging either, considering we need a prolific striker.

Therefore, Atalanta’s valuation is arguably a bit unrealistic. Thus, if the Bergamo-based club are not willing to compromise, then it would be wise for the Old Trafford side to move on to other targets.
