Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants four more signings before the end of the transfer window
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to make at least another four signings this summer, according to FourFourTwo (h/t Mirror). The Dutch manager wants more new faces in before the end of the transfer window.
Frenkie de Jong, Antony and Benjamin Sesko are the players the Red Devils are being linked with for now. The chances of all three happening are slim, but player sales could help on that front.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Brandon Williams and Alex Telles have been transfer-listed. Apart from the main targets in United’s shortlist, a reserve goalkeeper and a right-back are on the agenda.
The Manchester-based club have already made three major signings in this window. Tyrell Malacia, Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez have all come through the door.
United have strengthened their defence with the incomings. After last season’s poor displays at the back, it seems Ten Hag has planned around solidifying the defence for the upcoming campaign.
Malacia and Martinez will go a long way in helping strengthen the backline. However, it’s also wise to bring in a quality right-back, with Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot failing to convince fans.
The midfield is another area the team is looking to strengthen by targeting De Jong. Paul Pogba’s departure has weakened the strength in depth in the middle of the park.
The forward line also needs reinforcements. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial were all disappointing. Only Cristiano Ronaldo managed to perform well. But it looks like the Portuguese is angling for a move away from United.

Ten Hag has a big task at hand. The Dutch manager will need all the support he can get. If the new gaffer wants more signings this summer, fans hope the club will heed the demands. We wouldn’t want to miss out on Champions League football again at the end of next season.
