Transfer News: Manchester United links to Ibrahim Sangare rubbished
According to Voetbal International [h/t Manchester Evening News] and Eindhovens Dagblad (via Sport Witness) [h/t Manchester Evening News], Manchester United have made absolutely no approach for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Ibrahim Sangare with links to the player being rubbished by the reports.
Manchester United have been recently linked with a move for the Ivory Coast midfielder in recent days, with the PSV midfielder also said to be willing to make the transfer and move away from the Dutch league.
Sangare is one of the most talented midfielders in the Dutch league. Predominantly playing a holding role, the 24-year-old is also capable of playing further up as a central midfielder and filling a box-to-box role.
The Ivory Coast international joined the Eredivisie giants from Toulouse in 2020 and has since then gone on to become a key player for PSV. His performances have not gone unnoticed and Man United’s interest is not surprising.
The 24-year-old midfielder played 48 times for PSV Eindhoven this season scoring four goals and providing four assists across all competitions. With three years left on his contract, the Dutch league will ask for big money for Sangare.
If Erik ten Hag thinks that Sangare is the man for Man United, we can trust the judgement of the Dutch tactician. He would have seen the 24-year-old play first-hand during his time at Ajax and would know about his abilities.
Manchester United need midfield signings this season and this is no secret. We have been pursuing high-profile names like Frenkie de Jong but one such signing will not be enough and this is where Sangare comes in.

He is a player who can come in and offer a lot to the Red Devils. He can be of great value to the squad and also play a starring role in midfield but then again, it remains to be seen if Man United are linked with him to begin with.
