Manchester United star Axel Tuanzebe is linked with a move to join Bournemouth
According to journalist Daniele Longo of Calciomercato on Twitter (h/t Daily Echo), Manchester United star Axel Tuanzebe is now linked with a move to join Bournemouth in this summer transfer window. He could be nearing the end of his road at Old Trafford if this latest news has any weight to it.
Tuanzebe has seen his playing career take a turn for the worse ever since Steven Gerrard joined Aston Villa. The former was a key player under Dean Smith, but that changed after he was sacked for Gerrard. The defender eventually joined Napoli on loan in January, but he struggled to break into the team.
As such, Tuanzebe’s future is clouded by uncertainty at this moment, with Man United being ready to accept offers for his services. Now, they will be boosted by the fact the Englishman has been linked with the Cherries, which could give them at least an option to explore upon regarding a potential sale.

A transfer possible?
It is pretty well-known at this point how we have been chasing Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez for quite some time. It is stated that we are close to reaching an agreement to finalise a transfer for the defender, with Erik ten Hag eager to reunite with his former player in Manchester.
Signing Martinez would mean that we would have a solid set of options in Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane for the time being. That means there is no spot left for Tuanzebe to have a role with us, paving the way for the need to sell him ahead of the next season.
A move to Vitality Stadium could be perfect for Tuanzebe now that they have achieved promotion to the Premier League for the upcoming season. Hence, this transfer could be in the best interests of all the parties, with Scott Parker’s side needing reinforcements to ensure survival.

We are given a further boost in the form of Tottenham Hotspur star Japhet Tanganga as he has played down links to joining the newly-promoted side. Now that he has ruled out a move, one could say that there is a greater chance for Tuanzebe to team up with Parker this summer.
The fans would hope that is the case as dealing with fringe players is just as important as making signings if there are plans to facilitate a rebuild. Tuanzebe still has many years left in his playing career, so the 24-year-old still has time to turn things around, and a move to Bournemouth could be perfect in the current circumstances.
