Manchester United transfer target Brian Brobbey to imminently leave RB Leipzig
According to the German outlets Bild and Sky Sports Germany (h/t The Mirror), Brian Brobbey, who is a transfer target for Manchester United this summer, is set to imminently leave RB Leipzig. He has already “packed his bags” ahead of a potential move despite his future still being up for grabs.
Ajax are currently the frontrunners in the race to sign Brobbey, but Man United continue to be an option for him. In fact, Erik ten Hag has even contacted the attacker through a phone call secretly to convince the striker to reunite with him at Old Trafford.
The Dutch forward is currently rated for a fee in the region of £12.8million, which seems to be a steal indeed. While a move to Amsterdam is the likeliest at this point, Brobbey just wants to leave Leipzig at the earliest after becoming disillusioned with his life, leaving the Red Devils to be still in contention.

Brobbey to Man Utd?
Edinson Cavani’s departure has left us quite stranded when it comes to the options that are available in the centre-forward department. After all, except Cristiano Ronaldo, we do not have any other players who are naturally suited to be played in that position.
Even Ronaldo’s future is currently uncertain as he has already expressed his intention to depart the Mancunians this summer. Should he leave, we would be forced into a precarious situation which calls for the need to prepare contingency plans by preparing for the worst.
Brobbey cannot be expected to take up the starting role as he is far from ready to have such prominence. That being said, he could be a great squad player to add to our depth in the frontline as ten Hag could look towards others as starters in that area.

After all, the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford can deputise in the centre-forward position, which was evident during the pre-season friendly against Liverpool recently. Should ten Hag decide to stick with them moving forward, Brobbey can prove to be a reliable second fiddle indeed.

Brobbey’s current valuation is certainly on the cheap end, which does make him an attractive prospect indeed. That being said, it remains to be seen if we can convince the 20-year-old to join us when he can be a starter at the Eredivisie side after Sebastien Haller left to join Borussia Dortmund.
