Former Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe is ready to link up with Luton Town
According to a report in Mirror, Axel Tuanzebe is ready to link up and get a contract at Luton Town after leaving Manchester United earlier this summer for free.
The United Academy product has had interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia but he hopes to remain in England and continue playing in the Premier League.
Tuanzebe has been training at St. George’s Park for the past three weeks to keep up with his fitness. He has been plagued with injuries in the last few seasons after getting tipped to become United captain by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
If we look at the numbers, since the last of the 2019/20 season, the 25-year-old has missed 85 games due to various injury issues.
Luton have made several signings this summer since getting promoted to the Premier League. They endured a tough start when Brighton beat them 4-1 last Saturday. Their game against Burnley was postponed this weekend due to stadium issues.
Coming back to Tuanzebe, it might be an excellent move for him to play for the Hatters. He could do with regular game time in a team that needs a player like him who has experience playing for a big club like United.
Although the 25-year-old left this summer upon the expiry of his contract at Old Trafford, if he has a good season or two at Luton, there might be a case to get him back at the club.

Before all of that though, he not only has to play well but also stop getting injuries. We all know in football quality is nothing without availability. If Tuanzebe can garner the latter, he can have a good career in the coming years.
