Paris Saint-Germain make contract offer to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba
According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur (h/t ESPN), Paris Saint-Germain have proposed a contract offer to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba as they attempt to facilitate a potential transfer for him next summer. The Frenchman is currently out injured and has not played for us since November.
Pogba will become a free agent next summer if he does not pen a new deal in the coming months. He can legally engage in pre-contract talks with clubs outside England because of the same reason. Pogba is currently involved in negotiations with PSG over a potential transfer in the future.
The Ligue 1 club have offered the 28-year-old a three-year contract as they attempt to prise him away. They have also made a similar offer to AC Milan star Franck Kessie, another player who will be a free agent next summer.
Pogba to leave Man Utd?
The Frenchman is currently out on the sidelines, which have robbed us of the opportunity to sell him this month. Then again, his availability could be crucial for us, considering how we have struggled to gain control in midfield the last few games. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had failed to get the best out of him on a consistent basis and it remains to be seen how Ralf Rangnick chooses to utilize his talents.
Moreover, the recent comments from Rangnick indicate that he would select the Man United star despite his contract situation remaining unsettled. Weirdly enough, the boss has suggested the central midfielder do his best in the coming months, even if it is to serve as an audition for interested clubs.
If anything it could hint at a departure is in the works. With Les Parisiens vying to get his signature and the recent contract offer, we could have a tough task in hand to convince Pogba to pledge his future with us.

Mauricio Pochettino’s are currently ahead of us in the European pecking order and also have a better chance of guaranteeing him success on the field. Our chances of qualifying for next season’s Champions League are hanging in the balance, further hinting at where we stand at the moment.
The board has to prepare for the possibility of the French midfielder’s departure and plan their summer transfer business accordingly. While Pogba might not have performed at Old Trafford as expected, it will be a sobering day to see our record signing leave the club in his prime for a free.
PSG made proper use of the Bosman market last summer. Whether it is something they are willing to repeat at the end of this season remains to be seen.
