Manchester United will not loan out Anthony Elanga after recent first-team breakthrough

According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have decided not to loan out Anthony Elanga following his recent breakthrough in the first-team setup. He has enjoyed a rise in minutes recently, which has seen him take those chances to the fullest to make a mark at the club.

Elanga scored the opener for Man United against Brentford in their 3-1 win in the Premier League. Before that, he also enjoyed an excellent showing against Aston Villa in the league despite not being in among the direct goal involvements. Ralf Rangnick had decided to put his trust in the youngster, and the latter has rewarded him for it.

The Manchester club has decided that they would not move out the 19-year-old in the January transfer window. There were multiple interests from other clubs for taking him away on loan, but the Red Devils believe that option is not necessary at this instant.

Manchester United decided that Anthony Elanga will not be loaned out despite several interests.

The Swedish starlet was willing to move elsewhere on a short term basis to gain regular game time. However, Rangnick’s side was hesitant on that particular idea, and they have firmed their stance with this latest decision. The boss was looking toward working with him, which added to their reason for reluctance alongside the current pandemic situation.

Great Decision from Man Utd!

The Man United teenager had impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when the latter was in the managerial helm at Old Trafford. Solskjaer had integrated him into the team back then, which has also played a part in his current breakthrough. We are grateful for the role Ole has played in helping to reach this state.

The 63-year-old boss was known for unearthing talents and developing them at his previous affiliations. So there is no reason to doubt him at this instant, which gives us an exciting future to think about moving forward. The Swedish youngster could continue to have more prominence in the weeks to come under the guidance of the German coach.

This decision from the club could also lead to several other movements in the transfer window in the coming days. Anthony Martial has already expressed that he wants to leave this month, whereas Jesse Lingard, who will become a free agent next summer, could also be transferred without worrying about the squad depth getting affected.

The Red Devils manager has not trusted them so far, so their chances of getting minutes could further be dented by the Man United teenager’s breakthrough. After all, the young prodigy’s arrival would negate the diminished squad depth through their potential departure. We can move them out this month and cut costs through a reduction in the wage bill and a decent transfer fee in the process.

Let’s hope that we can see something similar of that sort as the English club must start to depend on youngsters who would have the drive to succeed compared to the experienced heads who have gone lacklustre over the past few years.
