Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejbri provides uplifting hint on return from injury

Injury News: Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejbri hoping to return to action soon

According to United in Focus, Manchester United starlet Hannibal Mejbri has shared some good news regarding his injury status on social media.

The 18-year-old is among the best young players at the club and is expected to push on and achieve much success at the senior level. He is however yet to turn into a regular at the senior level.

Hannibal has not featured for United’s Academy since September. The unspecified injury has kept him out since the game against Lincoln in the EFL Trophy.

Hannibal Mejbri made his debut for Manchester United last season.

He took to social media, showing off his boots and a less than a cryptic message saying he is close to returning. While he is unlikely to be included in a senior matchday squad yet, the return bodes well for the future.

Hannibal made his senior bow for the club on the final day of last season against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has been training with the first team since but is yet to cement his spot.

The teenager has only three appearances for the academy this season. Whether the injury was the reason he failed to feature against West ham United in the Carabao Cup remains to be seen.

With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer not averse to giving youth a chance, Hannibal can make a name for himself if he continues to impress. With fitness no more an issue, he can aim to do just that.

With United knocked out of the Carabao Cup, the chances Hannibal could get in the first team are limited. Whether Solskajer is willing to roll the dice in the FA Cup remains to be seen.
