Manchester United Transfer News: Juventus must sell Adrien Rabiot, Aaron Ramsey to fund Paul Pogba deal
According to Italian outlet La Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t Daily Mail), Juventus are prepared to offer £10million in yearly wages to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United.
The French superstar is in the last year of his current deal at Old Trafford, with no real signs of him putting pen to paper on a new deal as of now. And he has been linked with a transfer to the Old Lady during that time.
The report mentions that Juventus are ready to sign the 28-year-old midfielder but would have to offload Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey in order to fund the deal. Moreover, West McKennie could also make way if Pogba joins the Turin-based outfit.
If Pogba was to accept such an offer, it would be a downgrade on his current wage packet. The midfielder currently earns £12million-a-year at OId Trafford.
Back to Serie A?
If he were to sign a new deal at Man United, he could even have a pay hike on that amount. Pogba, who made his name at Juventus after being sold by Alex Ferguson during the early years of his career, recently revealed that he is still in touch with some of his ex-teammates in Italy.
“I always speak to my former Juventus team-mates, like Paulo (Dybala). I’m in Manchester, I’ve still got a contract there for a year and then we’ll see.”
The line of communications would be well open between the two clubs as it was showcased during this summer when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side brokered a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo.
