Paul Merson names three managers who can win the Premier League with Manchester United in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer snub
Speaking to Sky Sports (h/t Metro), Paul Merson believes that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot lead Manchester United to a Premier League title and believes three other managers can.
The Red Devils have lost three out of their last four games in all competitions, and the pressure is starting to mount on Solskjaer. United had a great chance of going top of the table on the weekend after Chelsea and Liverpool both dropped points in their respective games.
However, the Old Trafford outfit were beaten by Aston Villa – before which, the club were knocked out in EFL Cup by West Ham United. Thus, things have not been particularly rosy for the Norwegian boss in the past couple of weeks.
Sky Sports Pundit Paul Merson has now delivered a scathing verdict on the 48-year-old United manager and believes that Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, and Thomas Tuchel could win the title with the Manchester-based club. Merson told Sky Sports (h/t The Metro):
‘They (United) need to get the right team – you are playing Aston Villa at home, who have not really got going this season, although if you beat them, it is still a good three points.
‘This is the way I look at it – if Thomas Tuchel, Jurgen Klopp, or Pep Guardiola were at Man Utd, they would have every single chance of winning the Premier League, it is as simple as that. But I’ve said from day one they have no chance of winning the Premier League.’

While Klopp, Guardiola, and Tuchel have won at least one major piece of silverware in their tenures at their respective clubs, Solskjaer is yet to lift a trophy with United.
However, having signed the likes of Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho, and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, the Norwegian would back himself to pick up his first piece of silverware this season.
