Gary Neville has claimed that he would not swap Manchester United ace Anthony Martial for Tottenham Hotspur star Pierre Emile Hojbjerg
Responding to a question on social media (h/t Express), Manchester United legend Gary Neville has claimed that he would not swap Anthony Martial for Tottenham Hotspur ace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The former United full-back was one of the commentators for Tottenham’s game against Arsenal on the weekend as the Gunners completely dominated their North London counterparts.
It was a poor performance by the entire Spurs team, including Hojbjerg. The Dane enjoyed a fine start to his Tottenham career after joining them last season but things have been a little rocky in the last three weeks after three successive defeats.
Neville was asked a question on social regarding whether he swap out of favour United star Anthony Martial for Hojbjerg and the United legend swiftly responded, saying (h/t Express):
“I would trade Martial now with the players United have but not for Hojbjerg.”
Martial has not had a great start to the current season as he has only managed to start 1 Premier League game until now. However, he has been provided with several appearances off the bench, but he has failed to contribute to a single goal so far this season.

The Old Trafford outfit are also said to be ready to let the Frenchman leave and would consider offers in the region of £40million for the striker. Additionally, the club are also eyeing a deal for a defensive midfielder next summer.
Thus, while Neville did agree that he would be ready to let go of the 25-year-old striker, he would not be too keen on letting him go for Tottenham’s Danish ace, Hojbjerg. Regardless, it remains to be seen whether the Manchester-based club would actually let go of Martial in the near future.
