Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo could make a return soon after injury

According to the official Instagram account of Manchester United starlet Amad Diallo (h/t United in Focus), the starlet is ‘pushing’ to make a return back to action after suffering an injury at the end of August.

The Ivorian signed for the Old Trafford outfit at the start of this year from Atalanta in a move worth £37million. The youngster has a lot of potential and he showcased it in the 8 appearances he managed to make for the senior team last season.

Diallo’s most vital contribution was his goal against AC Milan in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League. He also featured for the club’s U-23 side as he scored 4 goals and provided three assists in three Premier League 2 games.

The youngster was also expected to play a part in the club’s pre-season earlier this summer but was called up for international duty at the Olympics. Thus, the 19-year-old failed to join the senior team until mid-August and a loan move was being lined up for the starlet.

Although several clubs were in the running to sign the Ivorian, a loan deal looked set to be completed with Dutch outfit Feyenoord. However, that move fell through after the winger was injured just a few days before the end of the summer transfer window.

Diallo, however, is now on the verge of a return and ‘could’ make a come-back after the international break in October.

While it is a positive sign, he might not get any game-time in the senior team as the club already possess the likes of Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Anthony Martial in their attacking options.

Thus, a loan move might be looked at again in January as the youngster looks to get some minutes under his belt this season.
