Transfer News: Manchester United could join the race to sign Boubacar Kamara next summer
According to Fichajes (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United are one of the three clubs to be interested in a potential move for Marseille talent Boubacar Kamara.
The Red Devils, who currently possess the likes of Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Fred, Scott McTominay, and Bruno Fernandes in their midfield line, might add another midfield to their ranks next summer.
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of Pogba, who has entered into the final year of his contract and could leave on a free transfer next summer. Additionally, Nemanja Matic’s current contract at the Manchester-based club is set to expire in two years. So, signing a midfielder next summer will be a timely addition to the squad.
Although the Old Trafford outfit are targeting a deal for Declan Rice next summer, they have already planned for an alternative should they fail to sign the Englishman.
United have now set their eyes on a deal for 21-year-old French talent Boubacar Kamara, who has been incredible for Marseille since he joined the club’s senior team in 2017. In the last 4 four years, Kamara has managed to rack up 125 appearances for the first team, indicating his levels of consistency.
Last season alone, the midfielder managed to rack up 43 appearances and also provided 2 assists in the process. However, the Frenchman’s contract is set to expire next summer and he is yet to sign a contract extension at the club.
