Luke Shaw makes huge claim about Manchester United ace Mason Greenwood
According to an interview done on the YouTube channel of UMM with Harry Pinero (h/t The Metro), Luke Shaw believes Manchester United star Mason Greenwood could become one of the best players in the world soon.
The 19-year-old who broke onto the scene in the 2018/19 season has broken several records in the last two and a half years.
His competitive debut came in 2019 in United’s miraculous 3-1 victory against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League and the Englishman became the youngest player in the history of the club to feature in the competition.
Later that season, Greenwood also became the most prolific 18-year-old in the history of the Premier League in terms of goals-per-minutes played.
The Englishman is now on course to break a different record. The 19-year-old ended the 2020/21 season in great form and did not miss a beat coming into this season, having scored in all three Premier League games for the club.
Greenwood has now entered into the prestigious list of scoring over 20 goals as a teenager, making him only the fourth player in the history of the Premier League to do so, alongside Robbie Fowler, Wayne Rooney, and Michael Owen.
This has led to his club and national teammate Luke Shaw praising the youngster’s performances while he also made a huge claim about the 19-year-old. In an interview with UMM’s Harry Pinero, he said (h/t Metro):
“The talent he’s got is so scary, it’s unbelievable. I think he will be one of the most talked-about players in the world in the next two or three years”.
