Luke Shaw heaps praise on young Man Utd ace Mason Greenwood

According to a report by The Mirror, Manchester United star Luke Shaw has showered praises on his young teammate Mason Greenwood. The teenager has established himself as a key member of the squad this term, chipping in with 11 goals across competitions.

Since Marcus Rashford’s injury, in particular, the 18-year-old has managed to carve out a solid reputation for himself. And Shaw appears to think so too.

In an interview with Soccer AM (h/t The Mirror), the left-back was questioned who he thought would be the best using his weaker foot on the FIFA 20 video game and he said: “Right now? I’d have to say Mason.”

“Mason is a joke, he uses both feet. Sometimes he’ll take a free-kick with his right, then a corner with his left and like with penalties the other day [against Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup] he takes them with whatever foot he feels like that day, whatever he feels like doing.”

Shaw was then asked if he felt the same way when Greenwood faces the goal and the Englishman replied, “One hundred per cent.”

Greenwood’s skills have been there for the world to see and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also described the youngster as the most natural finisher at the club.

He has been showing promise this season, as evident from his performances and if he goes on to fulfil his potential, it would be a huge positive for our club.
