Not a lot is known about Melanie Da Cruz’s family background apart from the fact that she grew up in Paris, France. Born on April 28, 1991, Da Cruz is of French and Latin ethnicity. She was a French reality TV star before she started dating Anthony Martial and is currently an influencer on YouTube.

Anthony Martial, on the other hand, was born on 5th December 1995 to Mr & Mrs Joran Martial. Anthony always had football in his blood, as his brothers have also previously played professional football. However, Anthony is the most successful in the sport in his family and broke onto the scene with French club, AS Monaco. He completed a big money to Manchester United in 2015 and is still playing for the Old Trafford outfit.

Melanie Da Cruz and Anthony Martial started dating in 2016 after he left his girlfriend at the time, Samantha Jacquelinet. It is not clear when the pair got married.

A youth product of Les Ulis, Martial first made his name in world football with Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco, when he joined them in 2013. He scored his debut goal on his first start for the club. In the 2014/15 season, Martial helped the club secure a 3rd-place finish in Ligue 1 as he scored 9 goals in 36 league games for the French outfit. 

Thanks to his incredible performances, he went to win the 2015 Golden Boy award, putting him in an esteemed category of footballers. Moreover, he had now caught the attention of several big clubs in Europe. Eventually Manchester United, one of the biggest football clubs in the world, signed up the Frenchman in a move worth £36million, which became the highest transfer fee for a teenager in the history of the sport at the time.

Martial joined the club under the stewardship of Louis Van Gaal and shared a dressing room with some of the biggest names in football, namely Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, Bastian Schweinsteiger and several others. The Frenchman became a fan favourite in the first season itself when he scored a sensational goal against Liverpool, while he also played a crucial part in helping his side win the FA Cup that year. 

In the 2016/17 season, Martial helped the club win the Europa League, while he was also a pivotal part of the team that won the EFL Cup final that season. Although he had a quiet two years after that season, the Frenchman made his way back into the team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the 2019/20 campaign.

Martial became the club’s top scorer in the Premier League that year while he also scored his first senior hat-trick as he guided the club to a place in the Top 4 and the final of the Europa League. The French international did not have the best year during the 2020/21 season and suffered an injury towards the latter stages, ruling him out until the end of the campaign and for the 2020 Euros with France.
