Inter Milan stance on Manchester United target Nicolo Barella revealed

According to transfer news from reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano, Inter Milan have no intention to sell Manchester United target, Nicolo Barella. The Italian is considered untouchable at the club despite the interest from Premier League sides such as United and Liverpool.

Manchester United are likely to add another midfielder to the side as they lack decent options in the middle of the park. Now, with Pogba’s future also up in the air, United could be in desperate need of reinforcements to shore up the midfield. Hence, it was not really a surprise to see links to Barella.

The 24-year-old has just capped off a spectacular season with both club and country. He was a part of the Inter Milan side that won its long-awaited Serie A title last season. Barella was then an indispensable cog for Roberto Mancini’s Italy as they lifted the Euros, registering a fine goal against Belgium in the quarter-finals.

However, it was pretty clear that Inter were not going to let go of their prized asset. After all, he is surely the future of their midfield. Fabrizio Romano cleared that Inter have no intention to entertain any offers for Barella and that he is considered untouchable.

This does come as a blow to United who were after the talented midfielder. Nonetheless, United will now have to look at other potential targets if they are to add to their midfield resources. The same will go for Liverpool who were also said to be interested.
