Mino Raiola to finalize the future of Manchester United star Paul Pogba over Zoom
According to the Daily Star, super-agent Mino Raiola will look to finalize the future of Manchester United star Paul Pogba this week over Zoom.
The Frenchman’s contract at Old Trafford expires in 2022. With the season done and dusted, the time has come for the club to make a call on their star midfielder.
Pogba showcased last season that he has what it takes to be a key player for United. Raiola, for his part, is chasing a lucrative contract that will net his client £500,000-a-week in order to sign a new deal.
United, though, are not keen to meet Raiola’s demands and make Pogba the club’s top earner. Meeting his demands will see him out-earn Bruno Fernandes, who is also in line for a new deal himself.
The Red Devils cannot afford to take their time in making a decision. With his contract set to expire next year, the prospect of losing him eventually for free is a real concern.
Pogba has no shortage of suitors. The likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are all linked with a move for the French ace. Whether they can afford him, however, is debatable.
Advantage Juventus?
Juventus could, however, have a small advantage in the race for Pogba. This is thanks to the uncertainty surrounding their top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to the Express, the 36-year-old has made a return to United his priority, giving Juventus some leverage when it comes to bidding for Pogba.
According to Italian publication La Gazzetta Dello Sport (h/t Daily Mail), an offer that includes cash plus Ronaldo could sway United’s mind regarding Pogba. Whether a return to Turin beckons for Pogba remains to be seen.

Given the current financial crisis, it is unlikely that any team can offer Raiola what he wants for Pogba. Whether he is willing to come to a compromise that will see his client continue at Old Trafford remains to be seen.
Either way, it will suit United to get the deal done as soon as possible. For even if he leaves, it will give us enough time to bring in a replacement. The last thing we want is another chaotic summer saga that will throw our plans into disarray.
