Manchester United to recall Isak Hansen-Aaroen from Norway in March
Accordingding to iTromso via VG (h/t Sport Witness), Manchester United are unhappy that 16-year-old Isak Hansen-Aaroen has been training with his former side back in Norway.
The youngster was signed from Norwegian side Tromso IL last September. He made his first-team debut for them aged 15 years and 319 days, thus becoming the youngest player to ever play for the club.
Hansen-Aarøen was a part of the United Under-18 side and even made an appearance in the Premier League 2 against Blackburn Rovers last October. His last appearance for the club came against Wolverhampton Wanderers Under-18s in December.
According to the report, this is because he has been training with the Tromso first-team. This had led to speculation that he could be loaned back to the Norwegian side.
However, that does not appear to be the case. Tromso assistant manager Lars Petter Andressen has confirmed that the player has received a message from England, warning him against training with his former side.
“Until further notice, Isak will not train with us until things are clarified.”
According to United.no (h/t Sport Witness), he is expected to return to United in March. How annoyed the club are and if any action will be taken remains to be seen.
Ironically, it was revealed recently that Manchester City released Shola Shoretire at the age of 10 after he trained with Barcelona during a vacation.
United beat off competition from Liverpool and Everton to land Hansen-Aaoren. The presence of Norwegian hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is seen as a pivotal reason for the player to choose a switch to Old Trafford.
