Manchester United academy youngster Isak Hansen-Aaroen training with the first-team ahead of trip to Norway

Isak Hansen-Aaroen has been training with the senior side of Manchester United ahead of the trip to Norway to face Atletico Madrid. The 17-year-old didn’t start in the U21 side’s recent game to keep him fit for first team training sessions, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils face Spanish giants Atletico at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo on 30 July. And it is suggested that Hanse-Aaroen could be on the plane with the team to Norway, although nothing is certain yet.

United had agreed to a deal to sign the Norwegian youngster when he was still 14. Hansen-Aaroen then arrived in 2020 and signed his first professional contract with the Red Devils last year.

The 17-year-old is yet to feature for the senior side in any capacity. Erik ten Hag currently has the midfielder training with the first team.

Hanse-Aaroen is amongst a number of academy prospects currently involved in the dynamics of the senior side. Ten Hag has a talented bunch to choose from.

Shola Shoretire, Alejandro Garnacho, Hannibal Mejbri, Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal are just some of the other names that have shown potential to be future stars at Old Trafford.

Mejbri got his chances at the end of last season and gave spectators some fighting spirit on the pitch. We were lacklustre in our performances during the previous campaign and the youngster gave us some hope when he came on in the final minutes against Liverpool.

Charlie Savage and Zidane Iqbal have shone during pre-season in the middle of the park. The others have also exhibited their talent.

Marcus Rashford was the last academy graduate that made it into the first-team dynamics as a regular. Anthony Elanga looks to be another one, but it remains to be seen what he does next season. Fans will hope Hansen-Aaroen and the others are able to develop into future stars.
