Manchester United target Paulo Dybala facing an uncertain future at Juventus
According to The Mirror, Manchester United target Paulo Dybala is facing an uncertain future at Juventus.
The Argentine star has just 18 months left on his current deal at the Allianz Stadium. Given there is no breakthrough in negotiations yet, Juventus will be hard-pressed to demand top dollar for the 27-year-old.
The striker is going through a dry spell and Juventus have, in the meantime, moved on in another direction. With the club in transition under new manager Andrea Pirlo, a parting of ways could be on the cards.
Not only has Dybala struggled to display his best but he has also battled a number of injuries this season. The most serious of these is a ligament issue that has kept him out of action since early January. However, he is nearing full fitness.
Juventus director Fabio Paratici gave a cryptic reply when it came to the player’s injuries. It would appear that the attacker’s health continues to fluctuate.
He also confirmed that talks have taken place regarding a new contract. More will follow in the coming days.
“We have spoken [about this contract], we have been speaking and will continue to speak in the next few days and months.”
No time for patience!
The Italian champions’ revenue went down by £62million last season due to the coronavirus pandemic. With more losses on the horizon, it remains to be seen if they are willing to match, let alone improve Dybala’s £225,000-per-week contract.
The more they wait, the less leverage they have in demanding an acceptable fee for the player. United will have to contend with competition from Barcelona, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur for the player’s signature.

With Anthony Martial struggling this season, the onus has been on those around him to compensate for his lack of goals. While the midfield has largely stepped up, we have at times been too predictable going forward.
Adding Dybala into the mix will make us a much more dynamic entity, opening up more avenues in the attack.
