Kobbie Mainoo gets praised by Manchester United stars for his performance with the England team.
Manchester United star, Kobbie Mainoo was quick to take to Instagram as he celebrated his MOTM performance against Belgium. The 18-year-old midfielder was everywhere on the pitch and even created two chances for his team.
Moreover, Mainoo managed to maintain a pass accuracy of 89%. It was a hard-fought game that ended in a 2-2 draw. England’s goals came through Ivan Toney and Jude Bellingham. On the other hand, Youri Tielemans did the heavy lifting for Belgium scoring two.
While Mainoo didn’t make it to the score sheet his performance was appreciated by all who witnessed the game. The 18-year-old had a few moments of brilliance where he toyed with grown men.
Manchester United’s superstar attacking duo of Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford were quick to appreciate their teammate. Both players left a lot of praise in the comment section of Kobbie Mainoo’s Instagram post.
What started as his first cap has turned into something of a statement for young Kobbie Mainoo. He has looked comfortable in both games that he played for England over the past week. It is almost certain that he’ll now be a part of the EUROS squad.
The EUROS will do a lot of good for the 18-year-old’s development. There aren’t a lot of competitions that are as competitive and high intensity as the ones at the international level.
