The Hoops are keen to keep hold of the player and are interested in extending his contract. Negotiations have, however, led nowhere. His situation has garnered interest from not just United but also Everton and the Serie A.

Milan are in need of a goalkeeper following Gianluigi Donnarumma’s contract situation. One of the best young players in his position, the shot-stopper looks set to leave on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.

Whether this means Angelini will be entrusted with the number one jersey remains to be seen. However, considering Donnarumma too was given his opportunity as a teenager, it isn’t without precedent.
