Borussia Dortmund set €100million asking price for Manchester United target Jadon Sancho

According to the German publication Bild (h/t The Metro), Manchester United will have to fork out €100million to secure Jadon Sancho in the summer.

The young winger was United’s top target last summer. However, Borussia Dortmund refused to budge on their mammoth asking price of at least €120million.

While the 20-year-old has continued to impress, his form has suffered with respect to the previous season. With nine goal contributions in his last 10 Bundesliga games, he is slowly but steadily returning to his best. (h/t The Metro)

Dortmund too have been adversely affected due to the coronavirus pandemic. With cash streams drying up, the Bundesliga giants have suffered a loss of €75million.

Selling Sancho for €100million will see them break even with change to spare. Moreover, it will be within the limits that United were prepared to go to last summer.

Having come so close last summer, we must ensure the deal gets over the line this time around.

Will Woodward finally land his man this year?

Signing prospects such as Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo has done little to diminish United’s itnerest in Sancho.

While the two have the potential to be world-class talents, Sancho is well ahead in the development curve. Moreover, he is already one of the best wingers on the continent and will be an excellent asset to our frontline.
