Manchester United to make a call on including Amad Diallo in the matchday squad
According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will decide on Thursday if Amad Diallo will be included in the squad to face Everton next weekend.
The 18-year-old was United’s lone January capture and immediately went on to impress in training. He made his United debut in the club’s Under-23 clash against Liverpool and scored twice.
United take on Southampton in the Premier League before facing Everton on the weekend. With an Under-23 fixture also scheduled for Friday, we will soon know which squad Diallo will be part of.
The United attack has failed to score more than two goals in their last eight Premier League games. A major aspect of it has to be attributed to the lack of offensive threat coming in from the right wing.
Daniel James is our lone specialist senior right-winger and Solskjaer has had to try out different players on that flank. If Diallo continues to impress, there is no reason why he could prove to be our answer to that problem.
While he still has areas of his game to improve, Diallo’s potential is clear for all to see.
The youngster has been training with the United first-team and has shown flashes of his clinical finishing. Mason Greenwood enjoyed a fine season last time around and formed an impressive triumvirate with Marcus Rashford
and Anthony Martial. There is no reason why Diallo can’t replicate the same this season. After all, if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.

United have picked up just one point from their last two Premier League games. This has not just seen us relinquish the top spot but also give Manchester City some breathing space.
Anything less than three points in the coming fixtures could all but prove detrimental to our Premier League aspirations.
