[Video] Man United new boy shows off slick finishing in impressive training clip

Manchester United have invested heavily in youth in recent years

There was much hype surrounding the arrival of Amad Diallo at Manchester United this month.

The 18-year-old has not only been compared to Lionel Messi but also Cristiano Ronaldo. Pretty big shoes to fill given the standing both superstars have in the game.

Diallo showed what the fuss was all about with a cool finish in training. The video that was uploaded on Instagram has got fans excited to see the new No.19 in action.

Diallo can be seen playing a quick one-two before firing an unstoppable shot into the far corner. The ball cushioned in off the inside of the post, giving the goalkeeper no chance.

His deadly finishing should hold him in good stead once he gets an opportunity to impress in the first-team. United for their part are ready to keep Diallo at the club while they are willing to loan out Facundo Pellistri. (h/t Metro)

Speaking just last week, Solskjaer admitted that Diallo has settled in well and has already been impressing in training. Given the videographic evidence, it is easy to see why.

Solskjaer also admitted that Diallo could be the solution to United’s woes at right-wing. Daniel James is today the only natural right-winger in the team. The prospect of Diallo developing into a dominant attacker on the right would be ideal. (h/t ESPN)

The 18-year-old only had two senior appearances for Atalanta this season. However, if primary evidence is to be believed, the hype surrounding him is real.

The onus is on him now to prove that he has what it takes to become the player he has been backed to evolve into.
