Journo reveals ‘interesting’ option Manchester United can consider to replace Erik ten Hag despite board members admiring Roberto De Zerbi

Manchester United now have another ‘interesting’ option to replace Erik ten Hag

While speaking on Football Insider’s podcast, journo Pete O’Rourke stated that Thomas Tuchel would be an interesting option to replace Erik ten Hag at the helm of Manchester United. The German manager will be looking for a team at the end of the season.

Tuchel and Bayern Munich mutually decided to part ways earlier this season, it seems like the German giants could not handle losing the Bundesliga title for the first time in a decade and Tuchel took the brunt of the blow.

However, the German manager is excellent and could very well win his second Champions League trophy this season. Roberto De Zerbi is another option to replace Erik ten Hag and is admired by Man United’s board members.

However, Tuchel would be the leading candidate because of his success in European competitions. The Red Devils want to be on top again and the German manager has all the credentials and tools to get them there.

While a decision still hasn’t been made on the future of Erik ten Hag, all talk suggests that the Dutchman will not be at Old Trafford next season. His failures are too great to ignore and his form in the Premier League has been abysmal as of late.

If things continue like this the way they are it wouldn’t even come as a surprise if the Dutchman gets sacked the minute the season is over. So, it is safe to assume that the people at Old Trafford are hard at work and could be mulling over their options for next season.

All signs indicate that Erik ten Hag is currently living his last few days as Manchester United's manager.
