Erik ten Hag breaks silence on his future at Manchester United

Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has been surrounded by talks of an impending exit this week. Some talks also suggest that the locker room feels like the Dutchman has resigned himself to his fate in the summer.

The noise has only gotten louder following John Murtough’s exit. Murtough was believed to be a top supported of Ten Hag. We’ve heard from the man himself who has shed light on his future with the Red Devils. Let’s have a look (h/t Fabrizio Romano)

“John Murtough’s exit will not affect the plans for my future”.

“I work with the new ownership very good, closely together. It will not change, it doesn’t have an impact on the way I can work here”.

Ten Hag added that the conditions at Man United were perfect before and they continue to be the same way. One must ask, if the conditions are ‘perfect’ then why are the results lacking? Perfect conditions should not be rewarded by struggling to make the UCL.

If you pay attention to his words, all Erik ten Hag has said is that Murtough’s exit will not affect how he works. So, while he dodged saying anything about the future, this also indicates that the Dutchman will continue to operate how he has so far.

Well, operate as he might no one can deny that Erik ten Hag is in desperate need of results. The team is preparing to take on Bournemouth tomorrow in what will be a must-win game for the Red Devils.
