Man United a potential destination for Serie A flop available for cut-price £12m

Manchester United a potential destination for Inter Milan flop Christian Eriksen

According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport (h/t The Mirror), Christian Eriksen could move to Manchester United.

The Danish star spent a number of years at Tottenham Hotspur and emerged into one of the league’s top midfielders.

Having done all he could in North London, he moved to Inter Milan earlier this January. However, the move to Italy has seen him struggle.

Christian Eriksen could move to Manchester United. Inter Milan are willing to listen to offers for him.
Will Manchester United make a move for Christian Eriksen?

Eriksen has so far made 34 appearances for the Nerazzurri scoring four goals and three assists. The inability to perform has seen him fall down the pecking order. So far, he has made just eight appearances this season.

According to The Daily Mail, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta suggested that the Italian giants are willing to listen to offers for Eriksen in the January transfer window.

The Serie A giants appear to be willing to take a loss on getting rid of the Dane. He could be sold for as little as £12million.

Eriksen could be a good backup to Fernandes

Signing Eriksen would be a shrewd move. Bringing him in could help us manage Bruno Fernandes better and also give him a breather when required.

We have been extremely reliant on the Portuguese maestro this season. Given the exertions of the schedule, we cannot afford to play him week in week out.

Eriksen in a cut-price deal would be worth a gamble. At just 28, he has plenty of years left in his locker. Moreover, he is an accomplished set-piece taker who could further strengthen our dead-ball ability.

As someone who has played in the Premier League, Eriksen would be returning to a league he is familiar with.

With his fortunes suffering at Inter, a return to familiar territory could be just what he needs to kick start his resurgence. No transfer is without risk and it remains to be seen if Eriksen has lost his mojo similar to Fernando Torres.
