Manchester United fans rave about Alex Telles after Champions League showing
Alex Telles put in an excellent display as Manchester United took another step towards qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League.
The Brazilian had earlier shown his ability to contribute to both attack and defence. With Luke Shaw now out injured, it would appear he is keen to make the left-back spot his own.
A constant threat down the flank, he made two assists and set us on course for a comfortable win.
Telles’ performances were in stark contrast to that of Luke Shaw. The Englishman never really reached the levels expected of him at United.
Add to it his ability to take corners, Telles adds another weapon into United’s attacking arsenal. His all-round ability perfectly illustrates what is expected of a modern-day full-back.
We take a look at how fans reacted to the performance on Twitter.

With Alex Telles starting games and is on set piece duties, Bruno could get much free time and energy to operate very well on the pitch

Alex Telles isn’t praised enough in my opinion. What a difference he makes to our overall performance compared to Shaw. He’s the LB we’ve been missing since Evra left #MUFC 🔴
