Manchester United star Eric Bailly plays down injury concerns
According to MEN, Manchester United star Eric Bailly has played down fears of him being sidelined due to injury.
The 26-year-old came off in the 70th minute of Ivory Coast’s 1-1 draw with Belgium in an international friendly on Thursday night. Early reports suggested that Bailly had been withdrawn due to a hamstring injury.
The player himself has played down the speculation and has confirmed he just suffered from muscle fatigue.

It will come as a relief to United, who have seen the player struggle with injuries since signing for the club in 2016.
One of our finest defenders when fit, Bailly’s availability will come as a boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. United have struggled defensively this season and have shipped 11 goals in three Premier League games so far.
The Ivory Coast international’s admission came through Instagram (h/t MEN) to reveal there is nothing to worry about. He expects to be in contention to play for United in their next league game at Newcastle United on October 17.

“Thank you for worrying about me, but I’m doing well. Just fatigue. Goodnight to you all and God protect us. Congratulations to my team for the match against the first ranked team.”
Bailly will return to Old Trafford next week looking to keep his spot as Harry Maguire’s main centre-back partner. His primary competition will come from Victor Lindelof.
United’s other options are Axel Tuanzebe and Teden Mengi, while Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo have been frozen out. The latter duo have also been left out of the club’s Champions League squad for the season.

United have picked up just three points from their first three games so far. With us having to pick up our pace, losing Bailly could have been a major blow.
Thankfully, that is not the case and the player is set to play a part in the coming weeks.
