Chris Smalling left frustrated as Manchester United continue to wrangle with Roma
According to the Daily Mail, veteran defender Chris Smalling is frustrated with Manchester United, as talks over a summer transfer to AS Roma continues to drag on.
The 30-year-old spent last season on loan at Roma. A resurgence in form saw the player establish himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A.
While both he and Roma are keen to make the deal permanent, United are unwilling to lower their asking price for Smalling. (h/t Daily Mail)
According to the report, The Red Devils have demanded £18m for the player and are waiting for Roma to return with an improved offer.
