Manchester United are still in for Jadon Sancho
Speaking on the Tifo Podcast, The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Manchester United are still in the hunt for Jadon Sancho.
While personal terms between the player and the club has been agreed on, discussions between Untied and Dortmund appear to have come to a standstill.
He went on to add that United will do all they can to get a deal agreed before the window shuts and they hope Dortmund will eventually lower their asking price.
Dortmund value Sancho at a mammoth £108m. Agreeing on the fee will make the youngster United’s record signing, beating the amount paid for Paul Pogba by a comfortable margin.
The German giants had given United a deadline of August 10 to work out a deal for Sancho. The date is now long past and the player continues to star for the club in the 2020/ 21 campaign.
With less than two weeks left for the window to close, The Red Devils run the risk of missing out on their top summer target.
According to the Express, United are willing to sell six players to gather funds for a final push for Sancho.
The likes of Diogo Dalot, Sergio Romero, Marcos Rojo, Andreas Pereira, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are all up for sale this summer.
However, United are finding it difficult to offload fringe players. With time running out, it could prove to be a case of too little too late.
