Ethan Galbraith promoted to the Manchester United Europa League squad
As reported by the MEN, Manchester United youngster Ethan Galbraith has been hailed as the most talented youngster at the club. This comes after the 19-year-old was promoted to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first-team squad for the UEFA Europa League.
A player who can fulfill both attacking and defensive responsibilities as a central midfielder, Galbraith is held in high regard at Old Trafford. Much is expected of the Northern Irishman who made his senior international debut last September.
He is one of a number of youth stars who have made the trip to Germany to take part in the Europa League. The likes of Mason Greenwood and Brandon Williams have enjoyed breakthrough seasons in the first team this season.
Alongside Teden Mengi and Ethan Laird, Galbraith is one of the least experienced players in the squad. He is widely considered to be the best of the crop of young talents at the club. (h/t MEN)
“He’s the best young player outside the core first-team group at the club,” a source told MEN.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the senior side this season. It was at best a token appearance as he came on for the final two minutes in our European game away to Astana. One that we lost 2-1.
He has, however, consistently starred for the Under-23 team making 18 games for Neil Wood’s side this season.
His performances have seen him get called up to train alongside the first team twice. Once in January and then again in March. It appears that he has done well to be included in the squad that traveled to Germany.
Galbraith joined United in 2017 from Northern Ireland side Linfield. He signed his first professional contract with the club in May 2018.

United have under Solskjaer not been averse to giving chance to youth. The adage that you are old enough if you are good enough once again seems to be the motto at Old Trafford.
Galbraith has been given an opportunity to give an account of himself. Hopefully, he will make use of the opportunity to enhance his reputation even further.
