Odion Ighalo has no interest in joining Paris Saint-Germain

According to an exclusive report from MEN, on-loan Manchester United forward Odion Ighalo has absolutely no intentions of joining French champions PSG amidst interest from the club.

Reports in France (h/t MEN) claimed earlier this week that PSG had drawn up a shortlist of experienced strikers to replace Edinson Cavani, who left the club when his contract expired. And Ighalo was claimed to be a target for Les Parisiens.

It was even reported that the Ligue 1 champions, who have made it to the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League, had already made contact with Ighalo’s representatives to sign him up in the ongoing transfer window.

However, MEN now claim that Ighalo has no interest in leaving Manchester United, as he is already at the team he always dreamt of playing for.

Ighalo arrived at Manchester United in January. He joined on loan from Chinese Super League outfit Shanghai Shenhua.

The Nigerian made an instant impression at Old Trafford, contributing with important goals. This prompted the club to extend his stay until January next year.

So far, the 31-year-old has netted five goals in 18 appearances across all competitions for us.

Ighalo has largely played as a backup to our frontline attackers Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood. And he is happy to continue essaying that role, as per the report.

Even Manchester United have no intentions of cutting his loan spell short. This means a transfer to PSG in the ongoing window is pretty much a no-go.
