Twitter reacts as Manchester United get ready to face Sevilla in Europa League semifinals
Manchester United will face Spanish side Sevilla in the Europa League semifinals.
The La Liga side made it to the last four following a victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers. It promises to be a tight clash between two sides who have recently etched their name on the trophy.
Sevilla will prove to be a formidable opponent as Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side aim to end the season on a high.
United last faced Sevilla in the Champions League in 2018. United held the advantage as the round of 16 fixture headed into the second leg, with the tie scoreless.
With home advantage in play, United were expected to dispatch Sevilla with ease. It proved to be anything but as Wissam Ben Yeddar scored twice in front of a shellshocked Old Trafford crowd.
Although Romelu Lukaku clawed one back for United, the damage was already done. A number of United fans view this Europa League game as a chance for the club to set the record straight.
Sevilla is the most successful side in the competition, having won it five times. The Spaniards have shown in recent years that they are a credible threat.
