Manchester United Linked With Another Atletico Player: Why He Would Be Worth The Money

Following their unbelievable performances in La Liga and the Champions League, Diego Simeone’s team are being picked apart and midfielder Koke is on United’s list.

Metro reports that United are ready to activate the Spanish midfielder’s buy-out clause, which is expected to be around £48 million pounds.

The club tried very hard to get this player in both of previous two transfer windows but their pursuits proved unsuccessful, he stayed with Simeone and won La Liga for the first time since 1996.

The brilliant performances from Simeone and his team this year have unfortunately not gone unnoticed by the big spenders in Europe and they are now circling like vultures.

Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois will be at Chelsea and perhaps left-back Filipe Luis may join them and David Villa is on the verge of joining New York FC in America.

Furthermore, Diego Ribas is joining Fenerbache, right-back Juanfran has been linked with Arsenal and the trio of Arda Turan, Koke and Miranda have all be linked to United.

It is such a shame that great teams like Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Southampton don’t have the financial muscle to defend themselves and keep their best players.

But for Manchester United, Koke is the perfect right or left midfielder for them. He possesses the Spanish style with a blend of the English physicality, thanks to a certain Argentinian manager.

In my opinion, Koke would not struggle to adapt to those winter nights away to Stoke, as is the analogy used for skilful players coming from La Liga.

Koke offers everything you could want from a midfielder, passing ability, excellent crossing, vision, high work rate, goals and assists.

He scored six goals, provided 13 assists (Squwaka) from midfield and this is him at 22, I think there is still a lot more to come from this guy.
