Erik Ten Hag finally catches a break as Manchester United star confirms he won’t be participating in AFCON

Erik Ten Hag has been having a rough patch at the helm of Premier League giants Manchester United. The team has so far lost 14 games across all competitions. Their recent loss against Nottingham Forest saw them dropping down to eight on the Premier League table.

A couple more losses and the legendary club might just fall out of the top 10. Amongst all the chaos and the injury struggles, the Dutchman has finally received some positive news for once.

When asked by a fan on Twitter about his participation in AFCON. Amad Diallo came out and had two words for everyone spreading talk of him taking a leave. The 21-year-old dispelled all the speculation by saying “Not true.!

It seems like Manchester United and especially Erik Ten Hag will be able to count on the availability of Diallo next month. This news comes at a crucial time for the team as their campaign stands on the brink of collapse.

The Ivorian hasn’t been able to play a lot this season. He only played 36 minutes during the game against Nottingham Forest which was also his maiden appearance this season.

Diallo picked up a knee injury during Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the US. Since then he has been missing from the squad. He looked fresh during his first appearance and even got the chance to fire a shot off on goal.
