Erik Ten Hag and his Manchester United enter the fray as they look to sign nine-cap Belgium International

Erik Ten Hag is looking to bring in a defender, midfielder, and an attacker to Manchester United this January. All crucial signings that will help the team salvage their season.

The Dutchman has now reportedly turned his gaze towards Merseyside’s Amadou Onana. The nine-cap Belgium international has been pivotal to the Toffees’ campaign this season.

He has been available for almost every game making 17 appearances for Everton. Moreover, he has also been on the score sheet multiple times recording 2 goals and 1 assist for the team (transfermarkt).

His exemplary playmaking abilities will be a great boon to Ten Hag’s middle line. Manchester United have displayed a serious lack of creativity this season, and the acquisition of Onana can help alleviate that problem.

According to a report by the French publication Foot Mercato, Manchester United will be competing for Onana’s signature as Arsenal and Chelsea also seem to be interested in the player.

They have also reported that a £51million deal could already be in the works. Barcelona who were also interested in Onana will have to wait till January as they look to get their financials in order.
