Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho could move to Saudi Arabia
According to TalkSPORT (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho is increasingly being linked to Saudi Arabia clubs if he decides to leave in the winter transfer window.
After an encounter with manager Erik ten Hag which ended up with a spat and the England winger being dropped from the first team, it is understood that Sancho is eager to leave Old Trafford in January.
Sancho’s ex-club, Borussia Dortmund is also interested in signing him. But according to reports, their financial power can’t match up with Sancho’s said salary of around £250,000 per month at Old Trafford.
Even though Sancho is still only 23 years old, he has already claimed that he does not want to move to the Middle East. But if he wants to play football in the first half of 2024, it might be his only option. Not doing so should put his spot in the English squad for Euro 2024 at risk.
At this point in his career, it should be seen more necessary to climb back up the football ladder, thus the other option would be to reduce his wage expectations. Whether United are also willing to take a hit with their asking price remains to be seen.
If he regains the form he displayed at Dortmund, an early exit would be well worth it for the Englishman. However, it is debatable if Saudi Arabia is the place to get his campaign back on track. While there are prominent players joining Saudi Arabia to extend their careers, there are few who have made the move before reaching their prime.
The lack of gametime at United is what is causing the issue and his escape to Saudi might solve that problem. A player like Sancho shouldn’t sit on the bench for a petty issue. He was bought only for the reason to play better than other wingers in the Premier League.
Unfortunately, things are not going as planned. The Manchester United switch has more or less a failure and it is difficult to see it any other way.

Sancho appears reluctant to apologise, even if doing so would easily alter the entire situation. There is more pressure than ever on United to find the back of the goal. Serious concerns regarding the management could be raised if Sancho succeeds elsewhere. Surely, we could have handled it better rather than pin the blame on thew player and let him stew.
