“I like what I’ve seen so far”- Manchester United icon pleased with Rasmus Hojlund’s performances

Manchester United icon Dwight Yorke sends his signal of approval to new forward Rasmus Hojlund.

Manchester United icon Dwight Yorke spoke about the pleasant surprise Rasmus Hojlund has been for the Red Devils. The former United forward confessed that he knew very little about the Denmark international before the high-priced signing.

United are having a very poor season with six losses in 11 games so far in all competitions. However, the 20-year-old has impressed United fans and many football experts with his consistent performance this season.

Many critics shared their scepticism over Hojlund as he came with little reputation and expectation of being a long-term project. The Danish forward has proven that he is ready to immediately contribute to the United cause. He showed incredible passion, determination, qualities, and work rate up front to win everyone over in a short period.

Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund clearly communicated his priorities to manager Erik ten Hag before signing with the club.

Yorke exclusively told Fan Nation Futbol that Hojlund has been impressive and he likes what he has seen so far. He said:

“He certainly has potential, I get that, and him playing at this level already was something I couldn’t see happening. The fact he’s got three goals to his name is a real positive and I like what I’ve seen so far.”

United signed Hojlund from Serie A side Atalanta in a £72m deal during the summer. Ten Hag prioritized a forward after the Red Devils struggled in front of goals last season. Last season, the Red Devils ranked 8th in the Premier League for the most goals scored by a club.

The 20-year-old has scored three goals in eight matches he has appeared for United so far this season. Furthermore, Hojlund has had two goals disallowed this season, demonstrating his clinical proficiency.
