Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag considering Torino defender Perr Schuurs as Harry Maguire’s replacement
According to 90Min (h/t the Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are considering various alternatives to replace the departing Harry Maguire, including Torino centre-back Perr Schuurs.
It is said that Schuurs is being talked about within the United camp and is being considered a potential addition in their pursuit of a new defender.
The 23-year-old, who played under Ten Hag at Ajax, boasts an impressive record of 92 matches under the manager’s guidance.
During his time at Ajax, the Dutch star contributed three goals and four assists before his transfer to Torino last summer.
Earning recognition in Italy, the solid centre-back has left a positive impression and has been praised by manager Ivan Juric for his all-around defensive abilities.
However, Torino are not eager to part ways, and they would be willing to ask for €40 million (£34.5 million) for their key player, a valuation that hasn’t been met by any interested party so far.
