Many Premier League clubs have ‘inquired’ about Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer
Manchester United loanee Marcel Sabitzer is attracting interest from within the Premier League, with many clubs having inquired about him, according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.
The Austria international joined the Red Devils on a temporary move from Bayern Munich in January until the end of the season. At the moment, the midfielder is satisfied with the Old Trafford side.
In the upcoming transfer window, the midfielder can see himself joining the Manchester-based club on a permanent basis. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the 29-year-old, with nothing decided as of yet.
Decisive talks will be held regarding Sabitzer in the coming weeks. However, it is unlikely at this stage that the Austrian will return to the Allianz Arena side at the conclusion of the current campaign.
The 29-year-old joined the Bundesliga giants in the summer of 2021 from RB Leipzig. However, the midfielder has been unable to carve a place for himself in the German outfit’s starting lineup.
Julian Nagelsmann recently parted ways with Bayern. Subsequently, the Bavarians have appointed former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel in their dugout. The German has the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala and Ryan Gravenberch at his disposal for the engine room.
Sabitzer has played a pivotal role at United so far, in part due to Christian Eriksen being on the sidelines and Casemiro’s multiple suspensions. The Austrian has held his own in the middle of the park for the Red Devils.
The 29-year-old is versatile and has played in multiple midfield positions for the Old Trafford side so far. Erik ten Hag also has the likes of Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek in his ranks. But the trio have been inconsistent over the years.
