Manchester United are ‘keeping tabs’ on Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani and Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, according to Manchester Evening News.
If the Red Devils are unable to acquire the services of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, they have the France and Denmark internationals on their radar.
Spurs’ talisman is the Old Trafford side’s top target to bolster the attack in the upcoming transfer window. However, the Manchester-based club could face obstacles in the 29-year-old’s pursuit due to Daniel Levy.
Kolo Muani is enjoying a stellar season in the Bundesliga. Having signed for Die Adler on a free transfer last summer, the 24-year-old is now their most important player.
The French national has scored 16 goals and has provided 14 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for Oliver Glasner’s team. Over the last few months, the striker has also shone for his national side.
As for Hojlund, he too is enjoying his breakout campaign at the moment. Atalanta signed the 20-year-old in the summer of 2022 from Sturm Graz in Austria. The youngster has a decent goalscoring record for the Serie A outfit.
However, the striker caught a lot of people’s attention with his performances in the recent Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Danish national scored a hat-trick against Finland and then got a brace versus Kazakhstan.
For now, United have Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as the only two natural number nines in the squad. Therefore, we evidently need to add reinforcements up front.

While Kane would seemingly be a great option, there is no guarantee that Tottenham will let him leave. Therefore, it is wise for the Old Trafford side to have their eyes on Kolo Muani and Hojlund in case we need to pursue other targets.
