Patrick Viera talks about the prospect of signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Speaking in the press conference as quoted by Metro, Crystal Palace boss Patrick Viera has talked about the prospect of re-signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils right-back has been heavily linked with a move back to his former club after struggling at Man United this season. We still don’t know if Erik ten Hag wants to sell the player without a replacement though.

After struggling for game time for the entirety of the first half of the season, the England international made the return to action in Man United’s Carabao cup win over Burnley and had an excellent game on that night.

It was a timely reminder of what the former Crystal Palace man is made of. It was a game that summarized Wan-Bissaka as a player and there is no doubt that Ten Hag would have taken notice of that performance.

Despite rumours linking him to an exit from the club, Ten Hag did admit that the talented youngster had a future at the club and that he counts on him to be important for the second half of the current season.

Speaking about Crystal Palace’s prospect of signing the talented player, here is what Patrick Viera had to say

“Listen, he is a Man United player. We have to respect that and there’s nothing more to say about that. He is a good player, there is no doubt about that. He’s related to this football club and I think he’s been loved by the fans. But again, he’s a United player”

It is understandable that the Crystal Palace man did not want to reveal much even if his club were actually looking to sign the player. It remains to be seen how their interest in the player pans out in the next few weeks.

Man United do not have a replacement for Dalot if Wan-Bissaka leaves and they might be reluctant to take that risk unless they can sign a replacement for the outgoing player. It is easier said than done in January.

As things stand, the Red Devils might not sell Wan-Bissaka. If he can put in performances like the one against Burnley, there is no reason why me must sell him anyways.
