Youssoufa Moukoko reiterates his commitment to Borussia Dortmund
Speaking in an interview as quoted by Metro, Borussia Dortmund star Youssoufa Moukoko has reiterated his commitment to the club amidst rumours linking him to Manchester United.
One of the most talented strikers going around, the German is very highly rated and is on the radar of a number of clubs. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all said to be interested in signing the Dortmund starlet.
The teenager is out of contract come the end of the season and this means that many clubs are circling the option of signing such a talent at such a young age. Moukoko is yet to renew his contract with the German club.
The 18-year-old is just the kind of player who would be perfect for Man United. He would be a signing for the next 10-15 years if he can live up to his early promise and a huge problem will be sorted for the Red Devils.
There have been contrasting rumours that the talented striker has agreed to a deal to renew his contract with the German club whilst others also claim that he rejected a mammoth deal that the club offered him.
Moukoko has come out and clarified the situation himself, revealing what the actual truth about the situation is.
“I will never accept such a lie and I’m still shocked – it’s a shame,’ he said when discussing the stories that he turned down a new deal worth around €6million-a-year. My full focus is on the second half of the season with Borussia Dortmund. I will never be bigger than the club.”
Manchester United have a gaping hole to fill in their forward line with the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo and if they can sign Moukoko, he will end up being a solid player for them. However, it will not be easy to see off the competition.
Moukoko has committed to completing the season with Dortmund but there is no doubt that he will be contemplating his options once the season gets over. With so much interest, he will know he has to make the right decision.
